The first thing you need to do is wait until the tenant has finished moving out all of his or her belongings. Since you’ll be remodeling the unit, this presents you with a good time to make sure everything needing repaired or replaced is taken care of. Ways to do this include making the space more roomy and livable, and accomplishing this can mean just taking out a wall or adding a few cabinets in the kitchen.
